FC Koln forward Yuya Osako highlighted his side's form ahead of the Bundesliga encounter against Schalke and is adamant that they can further improve.
The Japan international striker has been integral to Peter Stoger's plans this season having netted six times and created four assists in all competitions as Koln occupy seventh spot on the table.
Osako netted a brace in his side's 6-1 demolition of Darmstadt and praised his teammates for their near-flawless performance.
"It's true, that was a great performance, from the whole team," he told the Bundesliga's official website.
"I felt really good in that game. However, I wouldn't say that I was perfect and that there is no room for improvement. We can still do more, but this game was a good base to build upon.
"In the Bundesliga there are many very good teams.
"It doesn't make much sense to focus too much on those three games. We should always take it one game at a time,' he added.
The former Kashima Antlers also hailed striker-partner, Anthony Modeste and revealed how he has profited from playing with the Frenchman.
"I think we work really well together. Tony is a guy who can change a game in one instant.
"The opposition defence has to keep an eye on him the whole time which creates opportunities for me! The partnership is great for both of us," he concluded.
