Barcelona’s Aleix Vidal is out for the season after suffering a horrific ankle injury during their 6-0 win over Alaves.
The right-back was carried off after suffering a seriously dislocated ankle following a challenge with Alaves’ Theo Hernandez toward the end of Saturday's La Liga game.
Replays showed Vidal’s ankle seriously bent out of shape and the player was taken to a hospital in Vitoria.
A statement from Barcelona after the match confirmed the injury and said Vidal is likely to be out for five months.

Commenting on the injury, coach Luis Enrique said: "I'm devastated about Aleix's injury, how it happened and what it means for him and the team."
"To see a serious injury for a player is unpleasant for everyone. We have to think about lifting his mood.
"Hopefully he will be back as soon as possible. He's in the best hands. It's still early [to say]. He'd just left with the doctors when we entered the dressing room. We have to wait, but it looks as if it's serious."
The injury comes just as Vidal had broken back into the team thanks to a string of impressive performances.
