John van den Brom has committed himself to AZ Alkmaar after signing a new contract extension as head coach of the Eredivisie side.
The former Anderlecht boss' future has been subject to speculation in recent weeks with his contract only lasting until the end of the campaign, but the 50-year-old has new put the rumours to rest with the new one-year extension.
"I am extremely pleased that we continue together.," he told the club's official webiste.
"To this day I work with pleasure at this club. We are having a great project working with the staff, the management and the players."
The Cheeseheads are currently in seventh place this season in van den Brom's second full season in charge – after taking over the managerial hot-seat from Marco van Basten.
