VfL Borussia Monchengladbach have declared interest in midfielder’s Gedion Zelalem and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.
Both players are highly-rated but might be tempted at the possibility of playing regular football in the Bundesliga if the offers arise at the end of the season.
Zelalem, 20, has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund in the past and is currently on loan at Dutch side VVV-Venlo after failing to make Arsene Wenger’s first team.
Loftus-Cheek has only featured 14 minutes in the first team under Antonio Conte this campaign, with the Italian reluctant to change his winning starting XI as they look to secure the league title.
Nonetheless, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the interest in the young talents.
“The English market is very interesting for us,” he told Sport Bild when asked about the recent media reports. “Of course not the top stars of the Premier League, but the squad [players].
“Many youth national players go there, but then face a barrier.”
