Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has explained that Stephan Lichtsteiner's angry reaction at being substituted was due to a misunderstanding.
The Bianconeri boss brought on Dani Alves to replace the Swiss full-back during the 1-0 win over Inter on Sunday, which resulted in the latter berating Allegri on the touchline.
However, Allegri revealed that he misinterpreted Lichtsteiner's body language, believing at the time that he wanted to be replaced due to fatigue.
"It's all cleared up with Stephan," the manager explained in his press conference.
"There was a misunderstanding, he raised his hand and I thought he wanted to come off because he was dead. Then Dani Alves came on and things fitted."
