Sunday’s Eredivisie round-up

Eredivisie table-toppers Feyenoord and Ajax both won as PEC Zwolle picked up an important three points in their struggle for survival.

Feyenoord left it late but opened the scoring in their Eredivisie clash with FC Twente through Eric Botteghin on 75 minutes before Nicolai Jorgensen wrapped up the win three minutes from time.

The result saw the league leaders move onto 54 points from 21 games, with Twente in eighth place with 30 points.

Ajax though ensured they maintained their five point gap between them and Feyenoord with a 2-0 win over lowly Roda JC.

Davy Klaassen was on target for Peter Bosz's side on 53 minutes, with Amin Younes adding a late second three minutes into injury time.

Roda ended the weekend in 17th place with 16 points, level with bottom-side Go Ahead Eagles, and two points from safety.

PEC Zwolle survived a late scare to defeat Sparta Rotterdam 3-2 to move above their opponents into 13th with 20 points, with Rotterdam in 14th with 18 points.

Queensy Menig (51), Nicolai Brock-Madsen (62) and Erik Israelsson (86) were all on target ahead of a late brace from Mathias Pogba, one and three minutes into stoppage time.

And Utrecht edged Heerenveen 1-0 where Andreas Ludwig netted the only goal on 25 minutes, before being dismissed on 87 minutes, after Sam Larsson saw red for two yellow cards on 83 minutes.

Utrecht jumped up from seventh, above Heerenveen into fourth, with 34 points, with their opponents dropping to fifth, on 33 points.
