Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has called on his side to be more like Chelsea and be "clever" when trying to see out matches.
The Reds had to come from behind to claim a share of the spoils when they drew 1-1 with the Blues in mid-week, despite dominating the Premier League leaders for large parts of the match.
Whilst Klopp was satisfied with the result in the end, he admitted that he would like his side to master some of the same strategies the more experienced Chelsea side used at certain points in the match.
"Yes, we have to be more streetwise," the German told reporters ahead of Liverpool's match against Hull City on Saturday.
"I am not sure if you can force something like this but it is a good thing to have in football. Being clever is part of football.
"Chelsea are more experienced and sometimes more clever or smart, however you want to describe it.
"We can improve on this. But we cannot improve every day on everything."
Liverpool were Chelsea's closest challenger for the Premier League title at the turn of the year, but a torrid January has seen the Merseysiders drop down to fourth place in the standings, 10 points behind Antonio Conte's side.
