Striker Peter Crouch is celebrating after hitting his 100th Premier League goal.
‘Good touch for a big man’ is a classic footballing cliche that aptly describes Peter Crouch, who became the 26th player to reach the milestone on Wednesday when he scored in Stoke’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
The goal came in his 419th Premier League game and 15 years after his first goal for Aston Villa in 2002 and makes Crouch the oldest player to reach three figures at 36 years and two days.
Commenting on his achievement, Crouch said: “”There’s some fantastic players in that 100 club, so to be among them is great for me personally.”
“The minute it went in, it’s a great feeling.”
He added: “I’ve had a few messages, lots of friends and family absolutely buzzing for me.”
Indeed he did, as footballing legends across the UK tweeted their congratulations to the Stoke striker.

And of course, being Crouchy, he celebrated with his notoriously bad robot dance.
