Chapecoense have won their first match since losing 19 players and staff in a plane crash last November.
Playing in the state competition they won last season, the Brazilian club beat Inter de Lages 2-1 at their Arena Conda stadium, sparking emotional scenes.
Niltinho and Wellington Paulista – two players who recently joined the club on loan – scored the goals.

Since the crash on 29 November, which killed 71 people in all, Chapecoense have signed 22 new players and appointed a new manager, Vágner Mancini.
This was only their second competitive match since the crash, the first a 0-0 with Joinville in the Primeira Liga – a different competition – last week Thursday.
Following the crash, Chapecoense were awarded the Copa Sudamericana trophy, a move that was backed by Colombian club Atletico Nacional, who they were en route to face in the final when tragedy struck.
