Full report

Barcelona began the match in the ascendancy after winning the first leg 1-0 away from home and looked by far the more comfortable of the two sides in the opening exchanges.

It came as no surprise when Suarez netted in the 17th minute to put the home side 2-0 up on aggregate.

What was slightly more perplexing was that it took until the 55th minute for them to double their lead on the night, through Messi from the penalty spot.

The home side battled back well and Juanmi gave them a brief glimmer of hope when he pulled a goal back in the 62nd minute, but less than 60 seconds later, Suarez made it 3-1 on the night.

Willian Jose pulled another goal back in the 73rd minute, but a late push forward from the Catalans secured their spot in the next round with Turan scoring in the 80th minute before Suarez completed his hat-trick less than 120 seconds later to make it 5-2 on the night and 6-2 on aggregate.
