Real Madrid crashed out of the Copa del Rey after losing 4-3 on aggregate to Celta Vigo after Wednesday's quarter-final clash at the Estadio de Balaidos in Pontevedra.
Celta were protecting a 2-1 first leg lead and were happy to sit deep in numbers and hit Real on the counter. Yet, it was the visitors who nearly took the lead when Cristiano Ronaldo hit the post with a header in the 26th minute.
Before the break, John Guidetti was denied by Kiko Casilla before moments later he made a stop from close range from Facundo Roncaglia. The hosts would take the lead when Guidetti's shot was saved by Casilla in the 44th minute before hitting Danilo and going into the back of the net.
Madrid hit back in the 62nd minute when his powerful free kick flew into the net past Sergio Alvarez. The visitors then had a chance to take the lead but Sergio Ramos' header went just wide from Toni Kroos' cross.
Celta then took the lead again when Daniel Wass stroked the ball home in the 85th minute. There was late drama when Lucas Vazquez headed home a 90th minute equaliser, however, Celticos held on to advance to the last four of the competition.
