Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that goalkeeper Joe Hart is facing a short spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old will miss Saturday's clash with Southampton at the Etihad Stadium as well as Tuesday's League Cup clash with Hull City and next weekend's trip to Stoke City.
Pellegrini says the injury is not a serious one, but insists he will not rush the England international's return to first-team action.
"It is not serious but a muscle injury – so it is important to recover well," Pellegrini said.
"We lost Joe in a very good moment but it is what happens."
Argentine Willy Caballero will deputise in the absence of Hart, and Pellegrini has full confidence in the ability of the shot stopper.
He added: "I trust a lot in Willy Caballero. I am sure he will have a good performance in these games."
