Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic says it would be a "dream" for him to spend the rest of his career with Barcelona.
Rakitic is in ongoing talks with the Blaugrana regarding a new contract with his current deal due to expire in 2019, and admits he is eager to spend as much time at the club as possible.
"My dream is to stay here for ever," said Rakitic, after being named best team player at Mundo Deportivo's annual awards gala.
"I have not been able to refuse any offer because we are talking. I trust [that I will] stay.
"I trust the president [Josep Maria Bartomeu] and my representative Arturo Canales, who are talking.
"I want to help get all the titles we want, which are many for the best club in the world."
Barca suffered two injury blows in midfield recently with Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets sidelined, making Rakitic even more important as manager Luis Enrique aims to defend their domestic double.
