Hull City have announced the signing of Liverpool midfielder Lazar Markovic on loan for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old Serbian international joined Liverpool in 2014 but has made only 34 appearances for the club.
He spent the 2015/16 on loan with Fenerbahce and the first half of the current campaign with Sporting Lisbon.
A former Partizan Belgrade youth player, Markovic graduated to the first team before joining Benfica. And it was his performances with the Portuguese club and his national side that persuaded Liverpool to snap up the versatile midfielder for £20 million.
He joins a Hull side in desperate need of reinforcements as they currently have nine players on the treatment table, most recently midfielder Ryan Mason, who fractured his skull during Sunday's clash with Chelsea having clashed heads with Blues defender Gary Cahill.
