FC Bayern München winger Arjen Robben insists they will need to display their title-credentials by beating against Freiburg when Bundesliga resumes this weekend.
The Bavarian giants embarked on a five-match winning streak to close out the first half of the campaign and will be looking to pick up straight where they left off when they come up against Ralph Hasenhuettl's charges on Friday at the Schwarzwald Stadion.
Carlo Ancelotti's side put fellow title-contenders RB Leipzig to the sword prior to the mid-season break, with goals from Thiago Alcantara, Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski gave them a comfortable win and opened up a three-point lead at the summit of the table.
Having held a winter training camp in Doha during the break, various Bayern players mentioned that the team have immensely improved due, but Robben says the proof will need to be shown on the pitch.
"The anticipation is big," he said in the pre-match conference. "We simply want to win our first game and set a marker," said Robben.
"We want to get straight into our rhythm and I believe we have improved, but talk is cheap and we have to prove ourselves.
"The quality is there, they are a young, fresh squad with a great coach and they can make life hard for us."
