Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka believes new signings Holger Badstuber and Guido Burgstaller both bring qualities to the table that will fit in with the team's style of play.
Defender Badstuber joined on loan from Bayern Munich while Burgstaller signed from Nurnberg in Germany's second tier. Goretzka expressed his view that the pair would help improve the side's form in the Bundesliga.
He told the club's official website: "Both players suit us very well. I think Guido Burgstaller's running will help us a lot going forward. After his successful first half of the season at Nurnberg, he's full of confidence. That's the be-all and end-all for a striker.
Struggling Schalke have two important home games in a row against Ingolstadt and Eintracht Frankfurt and the midfielder feels they need to build some momentum in the second half of the campaign, adding: "With good performances in both home games against Ingolstadt and Frankfurt we have the chance to build up our confidence for the rest of the season."
The Royal Blues are currently in 11th place in the league after having lost four of their last five matches. The Markus Weinzierl-coached outfit will no doubt be targeting six points in their next two fixtures.
