Gladbach set for talks with Dahoud

Borussia Monchengladbach's sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that they will engage in further negotiations with midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud in a bid to extend his stay with the club.

The 21-year-old has formed an integral part of Andre Schubert's side this season, which has reportedly pique the interest of top sides such as Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Germany under-21 international has amassed 44 appearances for Gladbach during his three-year stay with the club thus far after being promoted to the first-team in 2014.

After turning down the club's initial offer to extend his contract, Ebert is confident that an agreement can be reached regarding Dahoud's future.

"We will hold more talks in the near future," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Kicker. "We want that Mo makes the second and third step here."
