Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw will remain at Old Trafford, according to his agent Jonathan Barnett after he slammed British press for irresponsible journalism.
Much was expected from Shaw when he signed for the Red Devils for £30 million from Southampton in 2014, becoming the most expensive teenager in world football at the time.
However, a double leg fracture in his second season at the club kept the England international out for six months and now, in his third season at Old Trafford, has only featured 28 times in the league since making the switch.
It was reported that manager Jose Mourinho didn't see the 21-year-old as an important part of his long-term plans and that he would be sold in the off-season to raise money to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
But his Barnett has subsequently denied the claims, stating that United are happy with the left-back and the player himself has no intention of leaving the Theatre of Dreams.
"I am angry with these reports suggesting Luke Shaw will leave Manchester United in the summer," he told the IBTimes.
"I am angry at the irresponsible journalism. Luke Shaw is happy at Manchester United and also, Manchester United are happy with him."
