Valencia have announced that Voro Gonzalez will remain head coach of the struggling La Liga side until at least the end of the season.
Voro was installed as caretaker boss at the club following Cesare Prandelli's resignation in December. He held the same post three months ago when Pako Ayestaran was fired.
In his two games in charge, the 53-year-old oversaw a 4-1 loss to Celta De Vigo before claiming a 3-3 draw with Osasuna.
With the club just a point above the relegation places, with 13 points from 16 games, Valencia have backed the former centre-back to steer the famous club to safety.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Valencia CF wish to reaffirm the club's absolute backing for Voro Gonzalez as first team coach until the end of the present season.
"The club also wish to stress its total confidence in the ability of the squad and the coaching staff to improve the sporting performance over the coming months -with the intention of overcoming the delicate current sporting situation."
