VfB Stuttgart have announced the departure of Stephen Sama, while Max Besuschkow has also left the Bundesliga club.
The 23-year-old Sama, who counts Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool as two of his former clubs, has joined 2. Bundesliga side Greuther Furth.
The talented central defender joined Stuttgart in 2014, but has struggled for game time this season, with just four second-flight and one DFB-Cup appearance for VfB.
Club sporting director Jan Schindelmeiser told the club’s official website: “We wish Stephen all the very best at his new club.
“He always presented himself here as a very upstanding young lad. We are delighted that new prospects have arisen for him in Furth.”
Midfielder Besuschkow, 19, has, meanwhile, left for Eintracht Frankfurt, in a deal until 2020.
The former FC Rottenburg youth player didn’t make a single appearance for the club last season, but played over fifty games in the reserve team from 2015 to the end of the recently-completed campaign.
