Juventus have confirmed the signing of Venezuela international midfielder Tomas Rincon from Serie A rivals Genoa on a four-year-deal.
The Serie A giants recently missed out on the signing of Axel Witsel, who opted for a big-money move to Chinese side Tianjin Quanjia.
However, the Turin-based outfit have wasted little time in securing the services of an alternative target in the 28-year-old Rincon.
"Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Tomas Rincon has completed a permanent switch from Genoa for a fee of 8 million euros," a club statement read.
"A figure which could rise by 1 million euros on reaching certain conditions within the contract.
"Rincon, who becomes the first-ever Venezuelan to represent the Bianconeri, has signed a deal with Juventus lasting until 30 June 2020."
The Venezuela captain will do battle with Sami Khedira, Miralem Pjanic, Stefano Sturaro and Kwadwo Asamoah for a starting berth in Massimiliano Allegri's side.
