Out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is reportedly on the verge of joining Italian outfit Inter Milan on loan for the second half of the 2016/17 campaign.
The 29-year-old has featured sparingly under Reds manager Jurgen Klopp this season, making just three starts and a further five appearances from the bench in the Premier League.
And, according to reports in the English press, the Merseyside outfit are willing to allow the Brazilian leave on a temporary deal in the January transfer market.
Inter are said to have several alternatives lined up if Lucas turns down the chance to join the Nerazzurri, with Marseille's Lass Diarra and Chelsea's John Obi Mikel also on their wishlist.
Inter are currently seventh in Serie A, having enjoyed an upturn in form and results following the appointment of Stefano Piolo in November.
