Fenerbahce coach Dick Advocaat has told defender Gregory van der Wiel and forward Emmanuel Emenike that they should both find new clubs, citing the two for unsporting behaviour.
Both Van der Wiel and Emenike were left out of the matchday squad in the Yellow Canaries' 3-0 victory against Genclerbirligi – with the former Sunderland mentor revealing that they do not have a future at the club.
Advocaat was adamant in his decision to release the two players without revealing the nature of their indiscretions.
"I think it’s better for both of them that they look for a new club," he said in post-match comments.
"That seems to be the best solution for everyone. Maybe they can do it with another coach, but not with me," he concluded.
Since returning to the Eredivisie from Paris Saint-Germain in the last transfer window, Van der Wiel has featured sparingly due to injuries and a lack of form, whilst Emenike has made 20 appearances in all competitions – netting seven times in the process.
