Conte credits hard work for Chelsea’s 11 wins

Patrice Evra controversy: Manchester United legend faces backlash

Antonio Conte's Chelsea made it 11 Premier League wins in the row as they edged to a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Diego Costa struck the all-important goal at Selhurst Park to take the Blues nine points clear at the top of the standings, with second-placed Liverpool yet to play.

"The run is fantastic," Conte said. "Congratulations to my players, not me. I am pleased with this level we have reached and with work we can improve.

"It is important to understand we are only at the 17th game in the season. There are two games before the half way.

"We are working very well and are in a good position. We must not look at the table and continue. We must not look at our rivals and continue work hard ourselves."

The match also saw Costa and midfielder N'Golo Kante pick up yellow cards that rule them out of Chelsea's next match against Bournemouth, meaning that Conte must tinker his line-up against the Cherries.

"Diego Costa's yellow card, I don't know if he deserved it," he aded. "It happened and now we try a different solution.

"Diego and N'Golo Kante are important players for us. The next game is at home and we need our fans to push us."
