Bayern Munchen fullback Rafinha will remain at the club until at least July 2018 after the 31-year-old signed a contract extension with the Bavarians.
Little Rafa has been at Bayern since he moved from Genoa back in 2011 and has made more than 120 Bundesliga appearances for the club in that time.
The veteran defender has played more of a fringe, squad role so far this season with just five starts and five bench appearances in the league.
However, his services are clearly still required by Bayern after the offered him a 12-month extension to his contract.

“I am very happy about the contract extension. I’ve been here for almost six years. FC Bayern is like a second family and one of the best clubs in the world,” he said.
“I want to win as many more trophies with FC Bayern as possible.”
Club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed the decision to extend his contract went beyond his skills on the pitch.
“Rafinha is important to us out on the field of play, but he is also much loved in the dressing room,” he added.
