Napoli mainstay Marek Hamsik has expressed his pride after scoring his 105th goal for the Serie A outfit at the weekend.
The Partenopei thrashed Cagliari 5-0 on Sunday and Hamsik found the back of the net to surpass Edinson Cavani's goal tally at the club.
The Slovakia international is now only 10 goals behind Diego Maradona's all-time scoring record at the club.
"I am proud of my 105 goals and this Napoli," the captain told Napoli's official website.
"I'm happy about this achievement but I’m also pleased with what the team is doing. We have played great football for the last two years and deserve to have proper recognition.
"Up until now we didn’t rotate very well and remained unhappy with the results we didn’t get, despite expressing ourselves well.
"Now we have goals and victories, but they are the fruits of our labour going all the way back to last year.
"I am especially pleased to have won this match which puts us up there in the standings and gives us so much confidence on the back of victory in Lisbon."
