Feyenoord stretched their lead at the top of the Eredivisie standings after title rivals Ajax slipped up at Twente on Sunday.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's Feyenoord went three points clear at the lead summit after they cruised to a 4-0 win over AZ at the AFAS Stadion.
De Stadionclub were totally in control at half-time following three first-half goals from Steven Berghuis (11'), Jan-Arie van der Heijden (19') and Nicolai Jorgensen (45').
Tonny Vilhena (69') wrapped up the victory in the second half as Van Bronckhorst's side extended their unbeaten run to four outings, while the fifth-placed Cheeseheads lost for the first time in six matches.
