AFF Suzuki Cup in numbers

As we head toward the final of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, we take a look at some telling numbers with regards to the tournament.

48 – Total goals scored in the AFF Suzuki Cup so far.

4 – Total penalties scored – all in the semifinals.

6 – Player to score the most goals – Thailand’s Teerasil Dangda, although five were scored in just two games.



53 – Total number of yellow cards awarded, with just five players – Rudolof Basna and Fachrudin Aryanto (Indonesia), Baddrol Bakhtiar (Malaysia), Que Ngoc Hai (Vietnam), and David Htan (Myanmar) – receiving two cautions.

3 – Total number of red cards, with Singapore’s Hafiz Abu Sujad, Nguyen Manh Tran, and Truong Dinh Luat of Vietnam the guilty men.

17 – Total number of shots (not including blocked) by any one player, Boas Salossa, who has three goals to his name.

343 – Most passes by any one player, Sarach Yooyen (Thailand), an impressive 32 ahead of his nearest rival Vu Van Thanh (Vietnam).

31 – Most crosses attempted by any one player, Rizki Pora (Indonesia), who has been credited with a joint tournament leading three assists.

18 – Most saves made by any one goalkeeper with Kurnia Meiga (Indonesia) leading the way. Hassan Sunny (Singapore) and Kyaw Zin Phyo (Myanmar) are in second place with 16 saves apiece.
