Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says he has no intention of selling Nigerian captain John Obi Mikel in the January transfer window.
Mikel, who has been at Chelsea for a decade, has not played at all for the London club this season and has to watch as his international team-mate Victor Moses has grabbed the headlines.
There has been talk that he could be set to leave the Blues with several clubs interested, while his Super Eagles teammate Odion Ighalo urged him to join him at Watford.
But speaking ahead of Chelsea's home clash with West Brom on Sunday, Conte says he is not considering letting Mikel go.
"The situation with Obi Mikel is simple: he's in the squad. He stays with us. We know that, at the end of the season, probably his contract will expire," the Italian said.
"But I don't know what happens now. He's a player who is part of this squad, and every single game I take my decision about him," he added.
