Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles have confirmed that Arsenal playmaker Dan Crowley is about to undergo a trial at the club with a view of a January loan switch.
Crowley was lauded by the English side as one of the brightest midfield prospects to graduate from the academy since Jack Wilshere, but he’s failed to break into Arsene Wenger’s starting XI for various reasons.
After spending time on loan at Oxford United earlier this year, his temporary move was cut short by manager Michael Appleton who claimed the 19-year-old lacked discipline.
Nonetheless, it seems the Dutch side and head coach Hans De Koning are ready to take a chance on the skilful playmaker. after announcing his arrival on their official website on Friday.
Crowley, who was signed from Aston Villa as 16-year-old, has made four appearances for England U19s and is also eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland.
