Lucien Favre was delighted with Nice's 3-0 win over Toulouse on Sunday, and revealed he would be rotating his squad for Thursday's crunch clash with Krasnodar in the Europa League.
Alassane Plea opened the scoring for the Ligue 1 leaders on 23 minutes at the Allianz Riviera, before Younes Belhanda's quick-fire second just three minutes later. Jean Seri completed the rout 20 minutes into the second half.
The result left Nice three and four points clear of Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, on 39 points from 16 games, ahead of their Europa League tie with Krasnodar on Thursday and Ligue 1 clash with PSG on Sunday.
After the match, Favre told the club's official website: "It was a good match against a side who are very aggressive with their pressing.
"At the beginning of the match, we needed to stay calm and play faster to avoid having the ball stolen – they have players who are very good at breaking up play.
"We made it 1-0 pretty quickly, and then 2-0 from a long ball. We pushed on, as we wanted to bag another to make sure of the result. A 3-0 scoreline is good."
Looking ahead to his side's next two fixtures, against Krasnodar and PSG, he added: "We'll be taking the match very seriously, as we have done so far even though it hasn't worked out for us in the Europa League.
"Of course, there will be some changes in our line-up. We have a couple of lads who have been playing every match for a little while and we need to be careful with them. Because up next we have Paris, and then we have a game every three days, against Bordeaux, Dijon and then Bordeaux again.
"We're thrilled to be heading to the Parc. It will be a very important match… just like the ones that come after it!
"You know, I say it every time, but we take each match as it comes (laughs), so first of all we're focused on Krasnodar. At the Parc, it will be a great game to play. It's Paris, after all!"
