The agent of former Brazil international Ronaldinho Gaucho has welcomed rumours linking the legendary playmaker with tragedy-hit Brazilian side Chapecoense.
Chapecoense, tragically lost 19 of their players and their entire technical staff in the plane crash this week near Meddelin Colombia – as they were travelling to the biggest game in the club's history.
A total of 77 people lost their lives and now the likes of Ronaldinho and Argentine legend Juan Roman Riquelme have reportedly offered their services to the club.
Nonetheless, the former Barcelona man's agent, Roberto Assis, has responded to the rumours after fans started the trending hashtag of the player's social media accounts – #Ronaldinho #Chapecoense.
"It is a very difficult time," Assis told Globo Esporte. "Later on, if there is a contact, we can talk. I can only say that we are here and we want to help.
"He (Ronaldinho) fits the profile, can be the right guy. But the moment is to help families and it would be (wrong) to create expectations for now," he added.
"As Brazilians, we feel involved. We are together."
