Conte: Chelsea are now more resilient

Antonio Conte believes Premier League leaders Chelsea are now a far more resilient outfit than earlier in the season after coming from behind to beat Tottenham.

Visitors Spurs dominated the first half at Stamford Bridge and went ahead through Christian Eriksen, but after Pedro levelled against the run of play just before the interval, the complexion of the London derby changed.

Victor Moses’ winner kept Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table, with manager Conte pleased with the show of determination from his side.

Chelsea suffered emphatic defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool earlier in the campaign, but Conte claims he is now seeing a different unit after seven successive victories.

"I think that now we are another team," said Conte.

"Are we Complete? If we were the same team as against Liverpool-Arsenal, we would have lost this game.

"I am pleased because we have another type of confidence, we are working a lot and they are enjoying this type of football. They started better than us, with great intensity and with a lot of pressure when we had the ball.

"They scored a fantastic goal with a shot, then I liked a lot our reaction a lot. It wasn’t easy to react this way, with Pedro to find a fantastic finish.

"But tomorrow it is important to think about the next game against [Manchester] City, against another strong team. We must continue to work."
