RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita says his side’s excellent start to life in the Bundesliga comes as no fluke, citing their hard work and team spirit.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s charges sit at the top of the standings and remain undefeated in their league campaign having collecting 27 points from 11 games.
And Keita, who has formed an integral part of the side’s progress believes that their success is due to the solidarity within the club.
“Solidarity with each other and our team spirit, not just within the team but the entire club – you can always feel it,” he told the official Bundesliga website.
“We meet up in the morning and go our separate ways at 6pm.
“In between then we have a lot of fun, be it in training or at meal times. Everyone helps each other. It’s a nice feeling and it makes us strong,” he added.
“We’ve earned it because we work hard every day.
“Everything is working well for us. Whether it’s in training or in Bundesliga matches, we’re playing with hunger and zest. That’s definitely a mark of our play,” he said.
The Guinea international has featured in ten matches in all competitions for the club, netting three times for the Red Bull sponsored outfit this season – most notably, bagging the winner five minutes into his Bundesliga debut against Borussia Dortmund.
