Feyenoord reclaimed top spot in the Eredivisie after they ran out comfortable 3-0 victors against PEC Zwolle at De Kuip on Sunday.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side responded to seeing Ajax move into pole position earlier in the day as they halted three-match winless streak in the league.

Dirk Kuijt (38') opened the scoring in the first half, with further goals from Karim El Ahmadi (71') and Jens Toornstra (76') after the break taking De Stadionclub two points clear at the summit.

Meanwhile, Ajax kept the pressure on their title rivals with a 5-0 hammering of NEC at the Amsterdam ArenA.

The game was effectively over by half-time following a first-half hat-trick from Kasper Dolberg (19', 34', 37'), while Bertrand Traore (55') and Lasse Schone wrapped up the win after the break.

Peter Bosz's men were in pole position for a couple of hours, but sit two points adrift of the league leaders in second place, while NEC are just one point clear of the relegation places in 15th position.

Elsewhere, struggling Roda JC picked up a precious point in a 1-1 draw with AZ at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion.

Rock-bottom De Koempels took the lead through Abdul Ajagun on 39 minutes, but Wout Weghorst pulled the Cheeseheads level in the 59th minute to keep their European challenge on track.

Twente and Utrecht also shared the spoils as their clash at De Grolsch Veste finished 1-1, with Richairo Zivkovic (26') swiftly cancelling out Hidde ter Avest's 22nd-minute opener for the Tukkers.
