Antoine Griezmann has handed Atletico Madrid a huge injury boost ahead of this weekend’s derby against their neighbours.
Griezmann withdrew from France’s friendly against the Ivory Coast earlier this week after sustaining a blow to his left foot during Friday’s World Cup qualifying triumph against Sweden.
There had been fears that the 25-year-old had suffered a broken bone, but x-rays have given him the all-clear.
Griezmann was able to return to full training with Atletico on Thursday and he is expected to be available for Saturday’s clash with Real Madrid.

The Ballon d’Or nominee has netted eight times in 14 appearances for Atletico this season and scored the only goal in their win at the Bernabeu last season.
