Arsenal forward Lucas Perez has revealed he is making steady progress in his recovery from an ankle injury, which could see him return to action early.
The off-season signing from Deportivo La Coruna was on the receiving end of a bad challenge from Danzell Gravenberch during the Gunners' 2-0 win over Reading in the EFL Cup fourth round on October 25.
The injury was expected to keep Perez on the sidelines for six weeks, but his rehabilitation appears to be going swimmingly and he is hopeful of returning ahead of schedule.
The 28-year-old, who is undergoing the recovery process at former club Depor, took to social media to post a video of himself doing drills on the training pitch.
The accompanying caption to the video read: "Working already on the pitch. On track for an early recovery."
The Spaniard has yet to get off the mark in the Premier League this term, but opened his account for the north Londoners with a brace in the 4-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the third round of the EFL Cup.
