First there was the Harlem Shake, then the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, and now the latest craze to hit the Internet – the mannequin challenge.
If you’re not too familiar with the latest craze in online tomfoolery, the gist of the mannequin challenge is for everyone to stand as still as possible and try not to move while someone walks around filming.
While we’re not sure who started it, Borussia Dortmund were one of the first football clubs to get involved.
Then it was the turn of Man City’s U-23 squad.
And for some reason someone at Premier League club Sunderland thought it would be a good idea to take part
But didn’t they realise the inevitable response that it would invite?
Sunderland players don’t see the irony in doing the mannequin challenge considering its about the same amount of movement when they play ?

If Sunderland spent less time doing the mannequin challenge and more time training maybe the wouldn’t be bottom of the league????
