Arsenal could be without star forward Alexis Sanchez for the trip to Manchester United next weekend after he sustained a calf injury during training with Chile.
The 27-year-old forward has made an impressive start to the season for the Gunners, contributing eight goals and seven assists in 13 appearances across all competitions.
Sanchez linked up with La Roja this week for their World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Uruguay, but his participation is looking unlikely after picking up a muscle strain in training on Tuesday.
The Football Federation of Chile issued a statement on its official website on Tuesday, which read: "The medical staff of Chile's national team would like to inform that Alexis Sanchez has a low grade muscle injury.
"He will remain in Santiago, under treatment and his participation for Chile against Uruguay will be evaluated."
Sanchez featured in the north London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, which ended 1-1, and Arsene Wenger will be keeping his fingers crossed that the Chilean star will recover in time to face United on November 19.
