Preview: Ludogorets v Arsenal

Arsenal will continue their pursuit of top spot in Group A as they take on Ludogorets Razgrad at the Vasil Levski National Stadium on Tuesday.

Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck are the only two long-term notable absentees for Arsene Wenger's side, while off-season signing Lucas Perez still has one month on the sidelines with a ankle injury.

Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal are all expected to be rested after recent niggling injuries.

The Bulgarian champions were brushed aside with ease at the Emirates Stadium a fortnight ago, Mesut Ozil netting the first hat-trick of his professional career in a 6-0 win.

Wenger named a strong starting line-up for the Champions League tie and was rewarded with a comfortable victory, but will likely to hand a few fringe players a start in the reverse fixture.

The London derby with Tottenham could factor in his starting XI, with Olivier Giroud – who scored with his first two touches after coming on as a second-half substitute – likely to be handed his first start of the season.

However, a slip-up could be a blow to the Gunners in the race with PSG for pole position in the group.
