Robben relishing PSV reunion

FC Bayern München winger Arjen Robben admits he is excited to finally play a club football match in the Netherlands for the first time since leaving PSV Einhoven in 2004.

After leaving PSV for Chelsea 12 years ago, the Dutch winger has won almost every accolade in European football, but on Tuesday evening he will play his first competitive game at the Phillips Stadion against his former club.

“It’s the first time since I’ve moved abroad that I get to play a Champions League game in Holland – and it’s against my former club,” he told Bayern’s official website.

“I am really looking forward to the game in Eindhoven. It’s a bit like home,” he said about the club he joined as an 18-year-old.

“I will just enjoy the evening in Eindhoven. Hopefully we can play well. We just have to win because we still want to finish top of the group.”

Robben will be hoping to secure top spot in UEFA Champions League Group D as they trail Atletico Madrid by three points after three games.
