1. FC Köln striker Anthony Modeste has paid tribute to his team-mates for playing a key role in his impressive goal-scoring exploits this season.
The towering French forward is currently the top scorer in Europe, having scored 13 goals in 11 games across all competitions this season.
His hat-trick against Hamburger SV at the weekend moved the Die Geissbocke into fourth spot after nine games, just five points behind leaders FC Bayern München.
After scoring 18 goals in his debut campaign for the German side, the former Blackburn Rovers striker says his goal scoring prowess this year is all down to his teammates.

He also confirmed that he did get the last touch on the ball for his third goal after it appeared to be an own goal.
“Yes I did touch the ball. But that’s not what matters, the win is what’s important,” he said after game. “A striker needs confidence which is also given to him by the coach.
“I’ve already scored more goals at this point of the season than last year and for that I need to thank my team-mates.”
