Preview: West Ham v Chelsea

Two in-form teams are set to clash in the EFL Cup on Wednesday when West Ham host Chelsea in a London derby.

After a poor start to their season, the Hammers have produced improved performances of late, going unbeaten in their last three games, winning two of them.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is still without five of his players heading into the cup-tie, with Diafra Sakho, Andre Ayew, Gokhan Tore, Arthur Masuaku, and Sam Byram on the sidelines.

The east Londoners beat Accrington Stanley 1-0 in the third round of the competition to set up the clash with their cross-town neighbours.

Meanwhile, the Blues should be brimming with confidence after their 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United in their most recent outing.

Antonio Conte's side have now won three on the trot, beating Hull City, Leicester City and the Red Devils convincingly, while they saw off the Foxes 4-2 in the previous round of the EFL Cup.

The west London outfit could give young centre-back Kurt Zouma a run after he recently recovered from a cruciate ligament rupture, but Marco van Ginkel and Todd Kane remain sidelined.
