Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic felt his side “showed good heart” as they rallied from three goals down to claim a share of the spoils with FC Ingolstadt 04.
In what was one of the most entertaining matches of Matchday 8, BVB were pushed all the way to the wire by an impressive Ingolstadt outfit, who at one point looked to be heading for a famous victory.
Die Schanzer were three goals to the good by the hour mark, but Thomas Tuchel’s men responded magnificently as goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Adrian Ramos and Pulisic clawed the visitors back from the brink of defeat.
Pulisic netted the equaliser in the first minute of injury time, and admitted it had been an emotional game for him.
“I can’t say I enjoyed it right now, my emotions are too much. It was very exciting,” he told the official Bundesliga website.
“Obviously we would have liked to come up with three points, but it was good to tie the game up. We showed good heart.”
The 18-year-old USA international has enjoyed a good start to the campaign, netting two goals and providing three assists in six Bundesliga appearances
