Stoke City's goalscoring hero in Saturday's 2-0 Premier League win over Hull City, Xherdan Shaqiri, believes the club's season is now finally under way after a poor start.
The Switzerland international bagged a brilliant brace against Hull as they recorded their second victory in a row.
Earlier in the campaign, the Potters had lost four consecutive league matches, and the pressure was increasing on manager Mark Hughes.
However, with a recent 2-0 win over Sunderland and Saturday's victory over the Tigers, Shaqiri is confident that the side from Staffordshire have now clicked into gear.
The 25-year-old told BBC Sport: "I scored twice, we won, that is important and we had a clean sheet. I hope we keep going like this.
"We managed the game for 90 minutes. It was the perfect day for Stoke City. We believe in ourselves, we are in good shape and we start the season now."
Stoke next face struggling Swansea City in a match they may feel they can win at the Bet365 Stadium.
