Real Sociedad returned to winning ways in La Liga on Friday as they beat Real Betis 1-0 at the Anoeta.
Carlos Vela scored the only goal of the game on 63 minutes as Eusebio's side bounced back from their 2-0 loss at Eibar last time out in the league.
La Real are ninth in the standings after claiming their third win of the campaign, while the Basque club are two points further back in 11th spot.
The match delivered few chances, although a poor backpass from Inigo Martinez almost let the visitors in early on, but Sociedad keeper Geronimo Rulli managed to snuff out the danger.
The hosts finally threatened nine minutes before the break as Willian Jose directed his header on target from Asier Illarramendi's cross, but Antonio Adan pulled off a superb one-handed save to keep the clash goalless.
Alex Alegria then went close at the other end with a strike from outside the area that was kept out by a diving Rulli on 41 minutes.
The deadlock was broken just after the hour mark as Vela slid in to convert Mikel Oyarzabal's low cross from close range for his second goal in three games.
Alegria drew another save out of Rulli from distance four minutes later, while Adan had to keep out David Zurutuza and Oyarzabal in the final 20 minutes as Sociedad recorded back-to-back home wins for the first time since February.
