VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler insists he is focused at the task at hand with his club, despite reports linking him with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit.
The 23-year-old was subject of interest from the likes of Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain during the most recent transfer window, following his exploits for both club and country.
Touted to make a big-money move, Draxler was reportedly told to remain at Wolfsburg by sporting executive Klaus Allofs.
“There will probably be rumours again in January. But I won’t be the one to start them,” he told kicker.
“We are now playing the season. I am aware the club have a taken a clear position, and that’s why I play towards the summer and I am fully focused,” he concluded.
Draxler has been a mainstay in Dieter Hecking’s side, having featured in every one of his side’s league encounters thus far this season.
