Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has admitted he longs for a return to Spain's top flight, but says he is committed to his current employers for the time being.
The 24-year-old returned to the London club ahead of the 2014/15 season, following three consecutive years on loan at Atletico Madrid.
And, with the Belgium international having spent a lengthy time in the capital city, he feels he is now "half Spanish".
When asked if he had given any thought to a potential return to Spain, he told Marca: "Yes, but not only for the club (Atletico), but how Madrid is and the whole country.
"From the first minute I fell in love with Spain for its people, lifestyle, food… I still maintain eating dinner and then an afternoon nap, most of the television I see is Spanish… I am half Spanish."
The goalkeeper was subsequently quizzed over when he could foresee himself moving back to Spain.
"I have a contract at Chelsea for three seasons," Courtois added. "In 2018, when I enter the final year of the contract, we will assess whether to renew or leave."
Since return to Stamford Bridge in 2014, Courtois has made 73 appearances in all competitions for the London outfit.
