Carvajal warns against Real complacency

Real Madrid full-back Daniel Carvajal has urged his team-mates to take each game as it comes, after securing their 16th successive La Liga victory at the weekend.

Los Blancos continued their 100% start to the La Liga campaign on Sunday as they secured a 2-0 victory at Espanyol, goals from James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema securing all three points for Zinedine Zidane's men.

However, Carvajal is wary of complacency creeping into their game after making such a strong start to the new campaign. Real will have the chance to make it five wins from five when they welcome Villarreal to the Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

"It's a nice record to equal the 16 victories, but we must keep thinking game by game," the Spain international said.

"Now we are thinking about three points on Wednesday against Villarreal, but what we are seeing is a reflection of the great work from Zidane and the team.

"La Liga has just started, we are going into matchday five and there are 38 [matchdays]. We think about adding three [points] because last year at the end we lost by one point.

"All are important and we are not going to give any away."
