Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed new signing Leroy Sane will feature against Swansea in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
The Germany international, who recently joined the Citizens from Schalke 04 for a reported fee of £37 million, has been used sparingly by the former Bayern and Barcelona boss thus far.
However, the 20-year-old will get his chance to impress at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, with Guardiola's men set to face the very same opponents in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
And, with Sane closing back to full fitness following a hamstring injury, Guardiola has hinted at a start for the youngster after deciding not to risk him in Saturday's 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.
"He was ready to start today. But I decided to play [others]," Guardiola explained.
"Leroy was injured at the beginning and it's much better now. He's had one or two weeks' training with us and every day is much better.
"I know his quality and of course he needs minutes and the next game of course he's going to have these minutes."
